Brow, chin, or lip wax results should last 2-3 weeks post-service.
Pre-Wax Care:
It is suggested to arrive with clean skin. Your esthetician will cleanse the treatment area with facial cleanser and pre-wax skin prep to prevent bacteria transfer, breakouts, or adverse reactions due to unclean skin.
Inform your esthetician if you have allergies or are currently on any prescription medication, or have previously experienced adverse reactions to waxing services. Informing the esthetician of any allergies in advance will help to ensure you have the most comfortable and enjoyable experience.
If you have experienced histamine reactions in previous waxing services please inform your esthetician. If you should choose to proceed with your waxing service it is advised that you use an anti-histamine before your service and for one day after your service to minimize reaction.
Discontinue the use of Retinol one week before your waxing service. Retinol is a wonderful chemical exfoliator, however, waxing skin that is already thinner from exfoliation removing layers can result in irritation, strong discomfort, and possible damage to the skin.
After Wax Care:
Avoid heavy oils on the waxed area for the first 24-48 hours to prevent clogged pores, folliculitis, or irritation.
Avoid prolonged direct sunlight for the first 48 hours as the waxed area is sensitive after waxing. Sunscreen should be applied during the daytime.
Keep the waxed area(s) clean and avoid sweating for the first 24-48 hours.
Do not use tanning products or tanning beds for the first 24-48 hours.
Avoid swimming in chlorinated water for the first 24-48 hours.
For the first 24 hours avoid harsh products, exfoliation, perfumes, or dyes.
Avoid touching the waxed area for the first 24 hours without first washing your hands. Waxing removes the top layer of dead skin cells and causes your pores to be more vulnerable to bacterial transfer and infection.
For clients with sensitive skin, it is normal to see redness, small bumps, and even swelling. It is temporary and the skin will calm within 48-72 hours. Cold compress, aloe, and anti-histamines help to soothe and ease discomforts.
In general, avoid using makeup on waxed skin for the first 24 hours as the pores are vulnerable.
If you should have a reaction following your waxing service please call, text, or email immediately.

This superficial peel treatment has been recommended to help improve the quality, appearance and texture of your skin. The glycolic acid helps to smooth the appearance of rough and uneven skin. During this facial glycolic acid is added to the surface of the skin, which causes the top layers of damaged skin to peel away over the next several days. It softens the texture of skin damaged by the sun and other environmental factors. Glycolic acid works to accelerate the skin’s natural exfoliation process to improve skin texture and tone; it can also reduce fine lines, sun spots, blackheads, whiteheads, and plugged pores. The peel treatment should be used in conjunction with your at home skin care regimen to help advance and improve the results.
Before Peel:
• 3 DAYS BEFORE treatment: AVOID topical products such as Tretinoin (Retin-A), Retinols, Retinoids,
Glycolic Acid, Alpha Hydroxy Acid, Salicylic Acid, or other “anti-aging”, “acne”, and “bleaching” products. Also AVOID waxing, bleaching, tweezing, or the use of hair removal cream on the area to be treated.
• Cleanse skin with a mild cleanser
• Avoid excessive sun exposure to prevent sunburn and excess skin sensitivity
• Wear a broad-spectrum sunscreen daily of SPF 30 or higher
• Inform your esthetician if you have a history of Facial and/or Nasal Herpes (cold sores) to receive advice on antiviral therapy prior to treatment.

A Lactic Acid Peel could be described as one of the most gentle peeling options available. It is an Alpha Hydroxy acid (AHA) peel containing lactic acid derived from milk. Its mild nature makes it suitable for people with sensitive skin too.
Results from a Lactic Acid Peel are generally not instant except for the deep moisturizing effect. The improvement in the texture and tone will be visible in the days following the peel. It is advised to undergo such peels at regular intervals (every 4-6 weeks) for the best before and after results. Its mild nature that rarely reacts wrongly on the skin adds to its many benefits.
Both Lactic Acid Peels and Glycolic Acid Peels are AHAs derived from fruit acids. The former comes from fermented milk whereas the latter is derived from sugarcane. The glycolic acid peel is considered to be stronger than the lactic acid one, as it penetrates deeper into the dermis.
While both of them are capable of treating similar conditions and result in improving the texture and tone of the skin, it is essential to choose between them based on the sensitivity of your skin. For beginners, the Lactic Acid Peel is recommended to study how the skin reacts to it before moving on to the Glycolic Acid Peel.
Possible Side Effects:
The peeling may take anywhere from 7-10 days on average or longer depending on internal and external factors such as skin type, age, weather, lifestyle, and hormones. Slight redness and skin sensitivity and flaking can occur as your treatment eliminates dead surface skin cells. Each treatment may vary.
Your skin may take on a rough, patchy, darkened quality a few days after this treatment. This is normal and expected and it will resolve on its own. The first areas to peel are usually around the nose and mouth, but can begin anywhere. Most people begin peeling on the 3rd or 4th day after treatment. It is also possible to not peel at all. If this occurs, you will still benefit from the treatment because the skin has exfoliated microscopically.
Mild to extreme redness, temporary tightness, itching, swelling, and dryness of the skin similar to a sunburn or windburn. This will usually subside in 2-3 days. An over-the-counter hydrocortisone may be recommended if the skin is inflamed or irritated.
Post Care:
You may GENTLY apply a cold compress to the treated area(s) as needed for any burning or irritation associated with your treatment.
Make sure to avoid excessive heat on the treated area and direct sun exposure of any kind, as well as tanning beds and self-tanners to the treated areas for 4 weeks after treatment.
Do NOT engage in strenuous exercise for 2-3 days after treatment because it may exacerbate the inflammatory and can cause your skin to become extremely inflamed.
Sweating excessively after treatment can irritate the skin or cause blistering due to the sweat being unable to escape through the top layer of dead skin. Try to avoid sweating until after you have stopped peeling to avoid lifting the skin prematurely, as this can cause scarring.
Do NOT use any acidic products such as retinoids or tretinoins, acne medication products such as Retin-AⓇ, TazoracⓇ, RenovaⓇ, AtralinⓇ, ZianaⓇ, VeltinⓇ, DifferinⓇ, the antibiotic Doxycycline, AHAs (lactic, glycolic, tartaric, etc.), BHAs (salicylic), benzoyl peroxide, vitamin C products, lightening agents such as hydroquinone or any exfoliative products including loofahs or coarse sponges to your face for 2 weeks after your chemical peel facial, or more if you notice your skin becomes sensitive to application. These medications and products increase your photosensitivity, which can significantly increase the likelihood of complications.
Do NOT tweeze, pick, rub, exfoliate, wax, use a depilatory, undergo electrolysis, or schedule a facial or cosmetic service such as laser resurfacing, or IPL on a treated area(s) for 4 weeks after your treatment. To reduce the risk of scarring, you do not want to remove the dry, rough, dead skin faster than your body wants to.
Do NOT get your hair dyed until a week after you have finished peeling, if your treatment was performed on the face or neck. For most people, week 3 post-peel is the best time to have your hair color treated.
Use a gentle moisturizer as needed
Cleanse skin with a mild cleanser
Do not use heavy makeup for at least the first 24 hours post peel, or until your skin has healed.
